"We hired Wayne DeJong to do a home inspection on a home listed as seven years old. Wayne noticed that the attic trusses indicated a much older home. After canvassing neighbours and doing research at the Municipal Hall we were able to determine that the home was in fact very old. It had been moved to the existing lot, raised and the newer addition built below it. That had been the seven-year old home part. Even our realtor was impressed.
We were not experienced homeowners and we had Wayne do an inspection on our newly-built home prior to our final walkthrough with the builder. Wayne helped us see so many things we would never have noticed which required attention from the builder. These items caught early were easily addressed. Left unattended they could have become a problem.
